Fritillaries

These white fritillaries are from our sister’s garden. She has the sultry purple snakes head variety as well.
 
I didn’t know, until she told us, that Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a favourite artist of ours, painted fritillaries (extra) and also incorporated them in his design work.
