In other news... our cats are the most placid, obedient ones we’ve ever had. They come when called, don’t cause any damage and know not to jump up onto the kitchen worktops or go into any cupboards. Unfortunately, this also means that they wouldn’t go through the cat flap unless it was taped open, presumably because they thought they weren’t allowed to when it was closed. Following a successful week of intensive training, we were rewarded in the middle of the night with a dead mouse.
