100 ABSTRACTS - DAY 4
Since I decided to do the 100 abstracts challenge for the Mamie Martin Fund, established in 1993 by the family and friends of Mamie to advance the education of girls in secondary school in North Malawi, it's amazing how many abstracts I have seen around the house.
I took several shots this morning including some purple knitting, but somehow they just didn't fit the bill. I then had to look around for something else because by this time I was really keen to do another one of my abstracts.
In the hallway and just next to the stairs is quite a dark little corner but in there was this little paperweight, given to me by a friend many years ago, and which I don't actually use as a paperweight but just as a decorative ornament.
I took it out into the conservatory thinking it might be better out there but then the sun came out and it was too light, so I then took it into the hall, put it back in its rightful place, took another photograph and here it is, and there is even some pareidolia if you have that sort of brain that can see it; I know someone who will!
Of course, you know me - I had to do a little bit of fartnarkling and this is the result. I then decided to put a frame round it but didn't want to spend too long because I am still in the middle of sorting out the dross in my hall cupboard.
I've been very busy this morning, having done some decluttering made a cake ready for Mr HCB's birthday on Thursday, spoken to the man about a new microwave because ours is on the blink, and now I'm dictating my blip for the day. Mr HCB is out walking with his friend Barry, and because my hands and particularly my left thumb was very sore this morning he made me promise that I would dictate my blip. However, my iMac is obviously not used to the way I speak because there have been some quite funny typos. I'm now about to check on my cake, finish the decluttering and then I can sit down with a cup of coffee, now that Mr. HCB is back.
