Essu's health collapsed quickly, and she surrendered to her fate. She's now with Kalle somewhere out there.

She was my first cat model. Those scratches on this old print were made by Aapo. In her final days the big tom changed into a gentle and caring fellow. He knew what was up. Essu did, too. She went with grace.
