Life through the lens...

Little Black-necked Grebes.

Gradually getting back to normal.

Met our friends A & K for the first time this year, at RSPB St Aidens, South of Leeds. Not far from home, thanks to the M 62.

A sunny morning, and mild. No cold wind thankfully.
We hadn’t walked far before we saw a Wheatear, soon followed by a Meadow Pipit, and Reed Bunting.
As usual the black headed gulls were making a raucous racket.
We were then delighted to hear a Bittern booming. Something A & K hadn’t heard before. So glad they weren’t disappointed.
Then we were delighted to see 6 little Black -Necked Grebes.
Not easy to photograph, as the tall reeds kept getting in the way, and all the best spots were already taken. ( see extra)
So decided to make the shots into a collage for my Blip.

It was so good to get out again. Chatting to friends, and meeting other people.

Hope this is now the start of freedom once more.
