Tiny Tuesday: "Things that make you happy"
At this time of year, one of the things that makes my Editor and me happy is to see new life bursting forth in the garden as buds open up.
This is a focus-stacked macro shot of some little leaves which are only about 1-1.5cm across. They looked very bright and cheerful in the afternoon sunlight.
One of the reasons I've blipped them is that we don't know what the plant is, so we're wondering if any clever fellow blippers can enlighten us. It's a self-seeded plant which appeared in an old flower pot a couple of years ago. It's currently grown to about 1 metre high and has several branches off a thin central trunk - from the appearance it looks like it'll grow to be a tree or possibly a shrub of some sort. I've taken a quick shot of the whole thing in the extra just to give an idea of its overall shape.
Many thanks to Pinkhairedlady for hosting TT this month.
