Hisham

Not sure what these lizard creatures are called but we have always referred to them as 'hishams' ever since we stayed in a room in the Hisham Palace Hotel, Jericho 25 years ago which was overrun with them! This one is from Egypt and was presented to me by DD on my recent birthday, along with the splendid leather desk roll on which he's resting. This Hisham is a full span of my hand long, and could stop doors as well as weigh down a stack of papers!

In other news, I got my replacement zoom lens back today so I'm in a bit of a quandry as to what to do with it now the 50mm has come back into its own!
