the purple easter bunny!

A trip to the shops in Southend today - ooh it felt weird but everyone was on their best behaviour and still sanitizing their hands as they went in to each shop. And it was so nice to be back inside a books hop again - I sniffed the air (through my mask!) to get that bookish smell in me again! And I was good and didn't buy anything... this time! Also found another nice little cafe right under the pier on our way back to the car, where we could sit outside for tea and chips! Lovely staff too so we'll definitely go back, and no plastic/paper cups either! You can't beat a real mug or teacup for your cuppa!

On the way to Southend there's a block of flats and over the past year, this giant purple monkey has been sat on top of the flats and depending on the time of year he's wore an appropriate costume  - so we've had Santa, St Patricks Day, Cupid for Valentines' etc - and seeing the easter bunny today made us all smile! Can't wait to see the next outfit they put on him!
