Folkesstone harbour

Very bright and clear with a cutting wind. We went to Folkestone today and parked up outside the Metropole on the Leas and walked along and down to the harbour and along what used to be the railway track bearing passengers to catch the boat train, also troops of soldiers in WW1 "The Gateway to the Trenches". The funny little house was part of the last Folkestone Triennial Art show. There's another one at the harbour entrance. You might be able to make out the round Martello Tower at the top of the far hill. We bought bass fillets and a dressed crab at the harbour fish shop and stopped at the Hawkinge Lidl on the way back built on the site of a WW2 Battle of Britain airfield.
