Morning light

The mornings are the better part of the day - sunny, blue skies and comfortably pleasant temperatures. Then by lunch time it seems to cool down quite quickly even if the sun is still out. Eating outside at a pub/restaurant does not seem appealing to me with these cool temperatures, so I hope it warms up soon.

The light on the pond and in those trees was lovely this morning, I especially like the fresh lime green of the new growth.

After my walk I popped into the supermarket to get some lemons as I had a yearning to make lemon squares/lemon bars. I found a gluten free recipe and I think it has turned out rather well.

Tommy is going to see friends tonight outside a pub for the first time in months - as the friends he is seeing have had Covid I don't mind him meeting them - it has been hard for the youngsters not to see friends and he has been working hard all term. He is going back to uni on Sunday, before term starts, as he wants to get settled in and work as he has exams coming up soon.
