Light and Shade

This doesn't seem to happen very often anymore ...bright light and long shadows! I particularly love it when these shadows appear in the cloisters of Durham Cathedral. I've been trying to get a good shot of this view for ages. I'm not sure that this qualifies as 'good', but it is the best I've managed yet.

Isn't it amazing how wonderful the sun makes one feel? It is just a shame that we never seem to have it for more than a day at a time ...
