The wrong side

An excellent leg stretching day with V, Partick to Milngavie via the Kelvin Way. A dreich morning turned into warm sunshine just after 10 and we had an exceptional day with very few people once we were north of Maryhill. The blip is where the Allander Water and the Kelvin meet. Due to ambiguous guidance we ended up on the wrong side of the river and had to backtrack adding a few extra miles. The bonus was finding a small pond with an excited birder who had spotted some rare finch, I can’ t remember which one. Our sightings included several heron on the Allander and a pair of Canada Geese on the Kelvin.
