Getting Diggy With It

Now they've smashed most of the walls up it was time to dig a hole. We had 4 guys on site today, 2 on footings, 1 making good the roof after the chimney came out, and 1 continuing the demolition of the chimney breast in the living room.

Footings dug, building inspector inspected the hole and it met his requirements, and the hole was then filled with concrete, so it won't be long before they start to think about building out front. I think tomorrow will be a day for putting a steel in to support the upstairs wall that just sits on the floorboards, plus some further demolition of the wall between the living room and the hall.
