Checking out the pool

A really warm day here so we had to turn on the air conditioner to cool off the upstairs.  The humidity has jumped up some and makes for a sticky feeling.    Hoping it will bring some rain as we are really dry here already.  The weatherperson said it might (and he never lies,right?)  I knew the rain we had in January and February would leave us and we would need it now.    No April showers here.    

The birds have been taking advantage of the bird pool and today there were two wrens checking the water temperature.  The little house wren said no but the Carolina wren said it was just right.  I do believe this is one of the wrens that is raising babies in a nest in the hanging basket on the front porch.  I tried to get a photo of the babies (about a week old) but it was just not a good angle and I did not want to get too close.  

Maybe they will show up more when they get a little bigger and I can get a photo.  There are four babies.
