Stone machines
Today was a busy day at home although I spent time watching a huge stone crusher easily crushing huge blocks of concrete into small pieces.   The crusher is immense and the man checking the machine gives some indication of size.  It was fascinating watching him steer it remotely over very bumpy ground up a slope negotiating obstacles in the way, all done as he walked beside it controlling it from a handset as there is no cabin.  The noise and amount of dust created was phenomenal and my face needed a good wash when I got home.
The other picture was taken on Monday by the ploughed field and shows a machine for removing clods and stones for preparing the ground for vegetables.  Our grandparents could never have imagined how modern technology is making the backbreaking jobs of past years so much easier.
