Back to Basics

After the heady excitement of the last couple of days, it’s been great to get back to the simple pleasure of a stick on the beach.

We were up early yesterday. It was just before the sun rose. The outgoing tide had washed the beach as smooth as a billiard table.

There were a few footprints near the beach access from surfers going for an early paddle, but walking up the beach a little way there were none.

It was like being on an uninhabited island.

Then I found this stick!

Ah some mornings are diamonds!
