Fount of wisdom

Zoe has seen it all with a tough job and some years in Indonesia. As always, I regret not starting to blip when first badgered by bananablip as I could have captured my first trip to Indonesia in 2010. Zoe was there at the time, and she was great at doling out advice today, drawing on challenging times she went through there.

We stole a hug. Sometimes it’s warranted even when we’re supposed to be maintaining a distance of two metres.

I’m listening to the song Forever Young a lot today.

‘Can you imagine when this race is won? Turn our golden faces into the sun.’

I think this is a beautiful lyric, because it symbolises so much: end of a long winter, phasing out of virus restrictions, and more importantly, ongoing innumerable struggles that the majority of people face.

It goes onto say ‘praising our leaders we’re getting in June’.

If only there was some regime change brewing. We might have to wait a few Junes for this lot to be toppled, given their knack for dodging the fallout from scandals.
