impatient beasts

It is not just the female woodpecker pecking in the morning, but the male woodpecker at least has the decency to attack my neighbor's house instead of mine when he wants his seed earlier. (Yes I told him to stop, we'll see if he listens.)

The squirrels would also like their seed and nuts on time thank you.

Given how impatient I am, can I blame them?

I have two more topics I can think of regarding the infrastructure bill but tonight I will instead share - I have a vaccine appointment!! It is all in your frame of reference. I have a consultant in France who isn't even eligible but instead of comparing myself to him I look at my friends sharing that their teenage children are getting vaccinated.

My state has stunned us all by doing a lousy job of vaccinating people. Don't read the below, just skim it, I'm just sharing to a) vent b) explain how stupid the process is.
- go to the site designed by a child who combined all the sites so people could go to one spot to find out that there are no shots available. Really, a child. I'm not being mean. An impressive 11-year old designed a website to make it easier for us to find vaccines, but it doesn't matter because there aren't any
- register online with your county for when the day comes that you are eligible
- register online with the state in case there is an opening at a mass vaccination site earlier than your county has a shot for you
- go to the CVS (drugstore) website, answer lots of questions, and learn they have no doses for you
- go to the CVS (drugstore) website, answer lots of questions, and learn they have no doses for you
- go to the CVS (drugstore) website, answer lots of questions, and learn they have no doses for you
- learn that if you go to the CVS website really early in the morning you might score
- go to the CVS (drugstore) website early in the morning, answer lots of questions, and learn they have no doses for you
 - do that step multiple mornings
- learn that some people are having success by going to the website midnight
- go to the CVS website at 12:11 am, answer a bunch of questions, and get told that as of 11:53 they have no doses
- do this step repeatedly
- go to the CVS website early in the morning, answer a bunch of questions, have the site refuse to tell you if it has any doses
- go to the grocery store website early in the morning, answer a bunch of questions, and learn they have no doses
- learn that there is a Facebook group that is sharing information on where there are doses
- lovely friend shares URL of this site with you because it doesn't show up when you look for it by name
- go to Facebook group, learn that some clinic you never heard of and would never have gone to look at, has doses
- go to that clinic's website, answer a bunch of different questions, and SCORE with an appointment

You can see why, if you aren't adept with the internet, you aren't getting a vaccine. It is such a difficult process that there are very sweet people helping other people through it.
