Big girl

We spent much of today with lovely friends and their grand children bubble today. It was gorgeous. Its Toms birthday and it felt like a proper celebration. We enjoyed lunch, we ecyed the children from their respective childcare. We walked in the beautiful sunshine. There were gifts for Pa, for Katie, for Karen...! Jelly, ice cream and cupcakes. Hide and seek. Lots of calls for "the big girl" to come play. It was such a lovely afternoon.

We then had a really nice catch up with Pat, for more going away gifts for Katie. Including a pile of post cards and stamps, a fabulous new bassoon book (what pat loves to buy Katie) and some other wonderfully thoughtful items. Katie loves writing snail mail, I think she may cost me a fortune in stamps. Pats soft toys came to see Katie and wish her well. I finished off the day with a takeaway from the chip shop, it felt like Katie needed just a bit more relaxed.
