Why did the chikens cross the road

When I was tidying up after the little ones this evening I came across this lot in the road. I asked how they got there and Boy told me he put them there.

It appears they were not the only thing on this road map today whilst I was at work. It was Girl who raised the alarm bells saying that there had been a road accident and that she had touched it. Turned out that Boy's pull ups, though good at being able to be pulled up are not actually very good at containment, hence the accident making its way on to the road.

I am not sure why or how Girl touched it, she says she didn't know what it was and so must have been investigating, just like the chickens!
