Nice day

Ignore the image - it's the iPad being packed up to go back but it's not important.

Drab, grey drive through the outskirts of London this morning. Relying on satnav as I'd never been there before. Wasn't able to snap the HGV which had dramatically left the road and run up an embankment on the approach to a roundabout in Dartford.

Got there and had a faff with their recalcitrant technology before I was allowed in and then it was brilliant. I met someone who is really doing an amazing job in helping young men to change their lives around - I'm not sure that any of us can make that change on behalf of someone else but this person is encouraging and supporting her students, our students, and giving them the skills and confidence to aspire to achieve things they had never thought possible. It was truly inspiring and a real joy to spend time there. No photos (obviously) and the weather was not improved on the way back so you're stuck with this.

Day off tomorrow to go to Milton Keynes to work on a project which looks interesting and will remind me that I am sometimes a wee bit academic so that should be good too - and it's a photo rich environment.

It's been a brilliant Thursday and that's always good innit!
