The Path Ahead

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

I was feeling a bit meh today after The Prince leaving last night. The conflicting emotions of feeling glad to be going home next Monday because I miss The Prince and Mini Princesses but also not wanting to miss out on time with Penny. The next time I come up, it will be as Penny’s daughter-in-law and not (also) her carer and I’m aware that the daily changes I have become used to will seem monumental after a gap.

Hard as this time is, that intimate gentle bond has some very special moments: a smile, a look of unsaid understanding, a squeezed hand, her fondness for Murphy and his ‘lovely soft ears’.
