Cherry Blossom

Less than a week ago I remarked to a Blipper who had blipped a mass of cherry blossom that I wondered if our cherry tree that had been pruned would give us some blossom next year.
 
I spoke too soon, we have some cherry blossom this year - just the one. 
 
You would not believe the trouble I had getting a decent close-up of the flower.  With the camera lodged up high on the tripod looking down I could not look through the viewfinder to focus, and had to rely on the screen in sunlight!  After all that trouble I just had to include the final half decent shot (the last out of a couple of thousand - well quite a lot anyway) at extra.
