Statue

First visit to Compton Verney for a while and met up with my younger sister and her husband. As members we were able to get them in for free!
The bridge over the lake has four figures looking after it, two each end, two each side.
They have the body of a lion and a head of a female and are often decorated in some way. Previously a tartan scarf was wrapped around them, no doubt for warmth, but now replaced by a floral garland. How nice to know they are cared for.
No camera today so used my phone, the camera that you always have with you.
