Blood.
Sorry if you're a bit squeamish but this has been the highlight of the day. The weather has been dreich as they say north of the border and I had to go through to Lancaster to the blood unit, so not many other opportunities to blip.
I need to go to Lancaster because I give blood platelets which means lying down by a big machine for up to an hour and half. Most platelet donations are given to patients who are unable to make enough platelets in their bone marrow. For example, patients with leukaemia or other cancers may have too few platelets as the result of their disease or treatment.
So it's a well earned Guinness tonight and back in 3 weeks time to donate again.
