The Hungry Caterpillar in the cocoon

Book day was a huge success. A moment of panic on the way to school when the first few pupils we saw were in normal uniform. Thankfully we saw enough Where's Wallys and Disney Princesses to be sure we'd got the right day before got there.

Was going to blip them all dressed up, but I preferred this one. Too much excitement for L, she fell asleep during dinner, all that munch munching I bet. I caught her as she flopped sideways shortly after taking this.

It was great to see my step mum this morning. I'd not seen her since before her op and I needed to see with my own eyes that she was ok. She's lost a lot of weight but she knows that a big operation will take longer to bounce back from. We'll soon fatten her up!

Found out 2 of my cousins are running the MK Half on Sunday so I may have some company or at least someone to congratulate and share in the euphoria with afterwards.

Meant to play with the macro lens this evening but I woke at 3am going over and over everything I'd been practising yesterday. Just couldn't switch off I guess. I shall have to have a go tomorrow instead.
