Ales in the Dales

The car parking area in front of the Yorkshire Hotel has recently undergone a transformation. 'Ales from the Dales' involves the creation of a mini Yorkshire Dales setting right in front of the hotel. Rocky outcrops complete with vegetation, real turf on the ground, and even a genuine dry stone wall has been built. Until the pandemic restrictions are lifted further, pubs and restaurants can only serve customers in an outdoor setting. It will be there for five weeks and was certainly very popular this afternoon. There is even a miniature railway train running across the area for kids and adults to enjoy the fun - see today's extra.
