Weird alien flower

Looking a bit like a tiny pinkish cauliflower, this is a rhubarb flower which I've mercilessly cut down before it had even had the chance to flower, so I can greedily have more rhubarb. It's been really dry, can't wait for a good shower of rain, so I think the rhubarb plants are bolting in a panic and producing flowers early. Either way, cut down the flowers = more rhubarb stalks.
