now that i'm older, my heart is colder

Cannot wait til the weekend!!

Today's been World Book Day, which has been lots of fun. The kids dressed up as their favourite characters from books and we had Anne Fine come in to school to do an assembly, which was pretty awesome. Maybe it's her name, but I sort of expected her to be a bit dull. Quite the contrary, she was bloody hilarious and the sort of person I would like to go for a pint with. Great woman. I liked the fact that she wasn't beating about the bush about certain issues, like suicide, love or even how much she hates cats!

In the afternoon we did outdoor learning. We made dens for a character out of one of my favourite picture books (Beegu by Alexis Deacon.) The kids got really into it and made nice little structures. Here's one of them :)

Marked lots of tests after school so was pretty knackered. Vicki and I went out for a meal tonight which was nice. Lots of wine was consumed....

One more day and then it's the weekend!
