Green-veined White
The Green-veined White is one of our most widespread of butterflies although its not often that I find one in my garden like this one. They are often mistaken for the Small White. If you can't see the so-called green veins on the underwings then the key is to look at the grey/black scales on the forewing tips. In the Green-veined White they are broken up into small triangles extending about halfway down the side edge. In the Small White they are restricted to the apex.
