James Watt

The recent good weather deserted us today, but it was an opportunity to catch up on some sculpture work.

This is from a 'Portrait Bench' - one of well over 200 around the UK.  They generally have 3 metal figures surrounding a metal bench.  The three figures are people past and present who have an association with the area the bench is located in.  Sometimes local schools vote who the figures should be.

This one has James Watt, the engineer and inventor who gives his name to a unit of electricity;   Tom Weir the author, climber, photographer and broadcaster; and Jimmy Reid the famous trade unionist, politician, orator and journalist.

Now, I have connection with, and have met, two of them.  So I wonder if you can work out the one I haven't met!
