On the Water - take 2

A little canoe outing down from the Ripon Canal Basin and onto the River Ure as far as Newby Hall. It’s another old favourite and one year we saw a host of herons (there’s no doubt a word) just beyond Newby. Today there were sandpipers, oystercatchers, pied wagtails, a pair of mandarins and swans and a heron flying overhead - oh and some lovely ducklings - they seemed more amenable to having their photo taken than the rest! Beautiful reflections on the water, I’ve put a flavour in extras. So enjoying the better weather
