Leaving the best to last
Steam, Sail and a great Crested Grebe, the latter having a snooze on yet another beautiful day.
We went back to the Trimpley Reservoir for a walk round the reservoir, down to the River and a little train spotting. It was the last of this month's Special Events day on the Severn Valley Railway for a celebration of the impressive home fleet and a VIP visit from a very special guest locomotive '2999 Lady of Legend', but unfortunately she developed a fault today and had to be replaced by 'Standard 4 75069'. Sad for the connoisseurs but not for us; the sound of a whistle and the sight of a steam train coming into view is always exciting enough. Whilst waiting for the train we got talking (as you do) to two very interesting people, a serious photographer and SVR enthusiast and a young woman with her old Lurcher with a love of crochet!
We've had a fabulous first outing in Matilda 2021 and the weather has been so kind.
Sorry my commenting has been zero but we're back home tomorrow so I'll try to remedy that.
