Preparations

This is supposed to be my blip for today - the 18th - but when i uploaded Jane's birthday celebration, which was yesterday, i forgot to change the date!   oh well, hey ho!!!

It snowed a lot this morning, big fat flakes for a few hours, so we now have snow on the ground again, altho it's almost gone again!!!   Spent the morning preparing these 10" square cradled boards.   First they had to be sanded (after i had gessoed them), then i applied a layer of Venetian plaster.   Let them dry for a couple of hours and then applied a thin layer of acrylic ink!   i love the surface of these.   They are now ready for cold wax and oil.   See extra for a close up of texture.

Had a fabulous video chat with Bronwyn and the little Brighson, altho he didn't say too much...he looked a bit confused!   Here he is in the extra....just over 4 1/2 months!
