Happy Place

With restrictions lifting a bit earlier than planned, we were able to visit my parents. The children were particularly excited, as they absolutely love my parents' garden, and have their own dedicated spaces for digging and planting. When we arrived it was literally just a few seconds before I spun around and saw the Bug with a trowel in his hand, digging away in his spot. I did some bee-spotting, armed with some knowledge from Dave Goulson's excellent book, gifted to me by my dad.

On the journey up I was hit by a few waves of emotion, in anticipation of seeing some of my family again, but it never fails to amaze me how quickly everyone settles into their old modes of familiarity, after long periods apart. I find it quite comforting.
