Great Peacock moth

This huge moth came to visit us this evening. Very impressive... apparently the largest moth in Europe.
Earlier I had a chat with Mum on the phone. She seems pretty stressed and confused, but at least she's safe and is being well taken care of.
It was hazy but quite warm so I went for a swim in the early afternoon. Pretty chilly especially afterwards without the sun but very invigorating.
For supper I used leeks, celery and lemon from the garden to make a tasty chicken dish. My first home grown leeks ever so quite pleased to be finally eating them.
