Sign of the times. . ..

A dull start today.
Cattle fed then spent the morning bagging up sheep and cattle feed again.
Had to go up to the top hill to unlock the gate for someone. Noticed some helpful soul had put up this notice. Doesn't seem to have done much good. This gateway is popular with folk stopping to take in the view over Midlothian,Edinburgh,the Forth and across into Fife and beyond. However they can't seem to grasp the principal of taking the rubbish they brought with them home again. Spent a good half hour gathering up stuff off the hill. Most of it was either McDonald's wrappers and cups,Red Bull cans or juice bottles. And the obligatory mattress.
Also lots of wee silver canisters, and a balloon. I have been reliably informed that they are NOS cartridges which folk seemingly fill into balloons and inhale to get high. And energy drinks help . You learn something new every day. Idiots. And then they will drive home after chucking all their crap over the fence.
I presume it's the modern equivalent of a can of Evo-stik glue and a golden wonder crisp packet that glue sniffers used when I was at school !
Had a visit this afternoon by the lad that does the spraying on his new ( to him) Suzuki 1400 bike. Sounds a bit of a beast when he opens the throttle. Think I'll stick to quad bikes !
