Chickens and Sand

This winter we've let our chickens out of their coop during the day to have the run of our garden. We put this kiddie swimming pool in our tomato house for some sheltered sand bathing. They love to roll around in the sand and scoop it over themselves.
Soon they will be moved to their summer digs and I will be able to plant in my garden again.
