#655... Shorncliffe Pier...

This is a close-up of the shelter construction on the Shorncliffe Pier... The Pier itself is almost 1km to walk to the end and back... About 3/4 along there's this shelter with a walkway through the middle but on both sides there's like 4 picnic table areas... In January 2011 we had really bad floods and because of the debris that floated down the Brisbane River and then with the tides the old Pier was damaged and wasn't usable, lots of debating but in the end the old Pier was replaced like for like so it's exactly the same look at the old Pier... It's well used and much loved...
