Waterfalls

Going on a road trip with a friend, the only criteria being to visit a waterfall, resulted in us visiting two very different but equally spectacular falls.
The first one, we had to climb to the heights for the best views, the second one was better seen from below. The first one seemed very gentle, dropping from high ledges down into the steep gorges, the second was extremely powerful and loud.
I loved the waterfalls, so mesmerising to watch how the water flowed over the edges and bounced off the rocks as it cascaded down to the pools below. However, it was these pools that attracted more of my attention, especially at the first falls. Every drop, had its own little pool of tranquility, with crystal clear water appearing still, enticing me to want to stay there and soak for a while. Perhaps a reflection of what God is asking me to do at this point in my life, take time to soak in His rest before rejoining the crazy, meandering, fast paced course that lies between each pool. At the same time not leaving His ever flowing River of life.
These pools are also a significant part of the life of the river as it is here the momentum builds up for the next stage. As we rest here, we grow, we develop, we learn, we build up the strength to face what lies ahead. God speaks so much through His creation! It's all there to teach us about His love, plans and promises for us. Go on an adventure and see what you learn!
