Billy Goat

Really?

The gov was doing the ironing this afternoon listening to radio 4 with the iron plugged in to her usual extension lead. Suddenly she realised it wasn’t smoothing the creases and the iron was warm not hot.
She immediately went on line to see what Argos did in the way of irons.
I got my meter out and diagnosed a lack of volts.
The iron has a rating of 2200 watts which is almost 10 amps. Surprised it has lasted as long as it has, probably at least a couple of years. Don’t be fooled into thinking that fuses protect appliances!
