Tulips
S bought me a bunch a few days ago.
It was a lovely day today, so after lunch we went for a walk as far as S's knackered Achilles tendon would tolerate -- about 4 km. On the way back we stopped to admire neighbour R's garden, and commiserate over the late frost having virtually destroyed his crop of apricots and cherries.
Yesterday evening's book group meeting was a pleasure. Most of us enjoyed Hamnet even though we had some criticisms. Next meeting mid-May -- will we be able to make it a physical one? Rien n'est moins sûr, as we say in France. By then most if not all of us will have had at least one jab (our doctor's secretary phoned on Friday to let us know our second jab has been postponed from this week to early June, sigh).
