My mini Keukenhof
Keukenhof's history dates back to the 15th century. Countess Jacoba van Bavaria (1401-1436) got fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden for the kitchen of Teylingen Castle.
In 1949 the plan arose to make an exhibition of spring-flowering flower bulbs on the estate.
My mini Keukenhof is also close to the kitchen and I can see the tulips from the dinner table.
This afternoon I was busy painting the peg dolls. I even started with Sinterklaas. Four of them. All dolls have to be in quadruplicate, because there are four toddler groups. So far I have painted 10 sorts of animal species. Some have two offspring, others only one. Some are already at school, which is a pity, because I can't show all of them.
