Tête-à-Tête

… on the electricity cable to the container. Lots of swallows about at the moment, and seem to be so in the UK as well, looking on Blip.

Ermelinda and Cecílio came for their "Sunday lunch", but had to be in their lunch hour, so took an hour instead of around four - felt quite rushed. 

Thanks so much for all your appreciation for my last couple of Blips, and promise to stop raving about the beauty. For a while at least. It's just that soon it will all dry up and exist only in memory. And please forgive perfunctory commenting, I do look at all those I follow and read and star, but some days don't have time to comment well. 

Gratefuls:
- chatting to all three of our kids today; thinking they're all needing a good holiday (I know a good place...)
- getting the Portuguese census done; quite complicated and lengthy
- watching the birds, I get such joy from it; there was a goldfinch singing its heart out for ages in the bay tree while we had lunch, and afterwards
