British Seagull

Spotted this little gem and just had to blip it.

The British Seagull deserves to be seen as an icon of British engineering up there with the Mini and the E Type Jaguar amongst many others.

You can read about it on many websites but this site www.britishgseagull.co.uk is very informative.

Using the serial number on another website I identified the outboard as a Series Forty, manufactured in 1960-1961

The factory was situated in Poole and this one lives in Bournemouth, so wherever it might have been in the world, including possible help with the evacuation on Dunkerque, in The Miracle of the Little Ships, it seems to have come home!
