South Canterbury

Spent a while in the city today, searching out a few things I struggle to get at home.  I know the norm these days is to search things out online and buy but there's something very special about interacting with a real person, having a discussion and leaving with an item in your hand.  

Tootled my way south in what was exceptionally warm weather (apparently Ashburton had today's high though I missed what it was) and am overnighting at a spot half way between Ashburton and Geraldine.  It's lovely to see the hills again.....looking forward to a few days amongst them exploring.  I don't think today's temperature will be the norm though!
