Can anyone say, SPIRIT?
Today was one spirited day!! we began with throwback Thursday and my home room teacher dressed up as a woman from the 50s. I must say our junior class is getting more and more spirited each year, which is a very positive thing. This year our theme is Love and the Beatles. Its a strange combo, but it works well all the same. The day then proceeded and after two hours of lacrosse in the snow, our Sportsnite dances were up for inspection and the blackie team "showed" dances. It was a thrilling yet nerve racking experience, and even a little sad. Ms. Fragola our supervisor began to cry because it is her last year volunteering and dedicating her time to us. When both teams "Show" dances, it signifies the beginning of the end for this year's journey. But ms. fragola is a former blackie herself, so it really made the moment even more emotional.
So we all started to cry, and the spirit of the blackie family was united as one. And it was sad because we knew that its almost over. We were sad as a family, sad together, and sad as one.
There's really no better aspect of my high school career than spirit, and no better aspect of spirit in my high school career than Sportsnite.
And once you go Black, you never go back.
