Reeds and Ripples
A minimalist photo today, just ripples reflecting the reeds. Mid-morning coffee is a bit of a ritual for M and me, always enjoyed a few hours after breakfast. It was such a beautiful morning though, so rather than have our coffee at home, we decided to make a flask and drove over to Holkham, parked in Lady Anne Drive and enjoy our coffee looking out over the little pools and farmland. There was various birdlife to enjoy including a number of Greylag Geese, Shoveller's, Little Egret, Curlew, Oystercatchers, lapwings and Redshanks. They were all too distant to photograph but we had a fab view through the binoculars and enjoyed hearing their calls. We also took a wander down to the larger pond, only some Tufted Ducks there but a couple of dogs decided to take a paddle and made these ripples, beautifully reflecting the reeds.
A very relaxing and enjoyable coffee break!
