An April treat

At the risk of becoming a blip bore I’m afraid it’s my developing garden again. In all the years I’ve lived in this house I’ve never seen this happen in the garden but it must do every spring. It’s just that now I can see it! The shadow is from a beautiful birch tree and the sight of it makes me very happy. In a week or two the sun will be blocked from that direction when my neighbour’s unwelcome sycamore tree bursts into leaf and blocks the light.
