White Tulip.

I picked Clickychick up from the studio a little before midday and we headed into town for the highlight of the day.  Our second Covid vaccination!   After receiving the injection we headed home to lunch.

Now the world is beginning to return to normal we had arranged to meet Kanyl at Larch Cottage Nurseries Melkinthorpe.  Obviously there were some precautions the main one being a one way system for entry and exit.  This confused us a little as the way out used to be the way in.

One advantages of the system is it brings you in right beside the outdoor café seats and the entrance to the verandah, which being open to the air was also seating.  So after the inevitable coffee we enjoyed a lovely wander round the gardens and the plants for sale.

There were masses of white tulips in full bloom.   This one which was "going over" caught my eye.  I have taught flower structure many times over the years and tulips were a often used diagram.  This one was a real life example of the cutaway flower diagram.
